Gemserv appointed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change to undertake the role of Licensee for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme achieves.

Energy and Climate Change Minister Mike O’Brien said:

“By installing a small scale energy generator, like solar panels or a wind turbine, people can reduce their carbon footprint as well as the costs of their energy bills.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme reassures consumers the product they’re buying meets certain standards. I am pleased Gemserv will be using its expertise to run the expanded scheme. With 13 new certification companies it means manufacturers of small scale energy generators will find it much easier to get products approved and on to the market.”
