Smart Metering Programme rollout starts 2014.
Gemserv supports Ofgem and DECC as the MRA Code Administrator in the Smart Metering Implementation Programme.
Ofgem and the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) collectively publish the Smart Metering Prospectus setting out a proposed roadmap for the deployment of Smart Metering.
Following a competitive tendering process Gemserv is reappointed as the service provider for:
The Gas Forum; and The IGT UNC
Gemserv report on the feasibility of valves for gas meters with the advent of Smart Metering.
Gemserv secures a contract with the ERA for the design, build and operation of the national EnergySure database.
The 2007 Energy White Paper: Meeting the Energy Challenge.
Gemserv is selected as the service provider to:
The Independent Gas Transporters Uniform Network Code (IGT UNC);
The Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (NAIUR) and Bord Gáis for Market Assurance; and
The Energy Retail Association (ERA)
Gemserv supports improving Ofgem’s Customer Transfer Programme and the implementation of the Electricity Central Online Enquiry Service (ECOES).
Gemserv is appointed by the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) as the assurance service provider to the Irish Retail Electricity Market.
The Energy Act 2004 implements commitments made in the Government’s White Papers “Our energy future”.
Gemserv is appointed as the service provider for:

Gemserv is appointed as the Registration Authority for the Meter Operation Code of Practice Agreement.
