Our clients often need the support of industry experts, senior executives and strategic advisors for project work or on an advisory basis at short notice. Sometimes our clients need interim support while they recruit people to full-time positions within their own businesses.

Finding the right person to undertake the role is not always straightforward, especially in the fields of energy, water and environmental policy, and legal and regulatory frameworks. Supported by our broad network of associates, technical experts, senior executives and strategic advisors we can respond to our client needs and help to support any short-term resourcing requirements – whether for an assignment lasting one week or one year, or longer.

One example of a recent placement involved the provision of expertise to Ofgem in September 2011 to provide input into the Retail Market Review (RMR) at short notice. Working onsite for a period of eight weeks we independently analysed data that had been collated from a number of suppliers. We communicated the analysis, and assessed suppliers' compliance requirements under the Master Registration Agreement (MRA) and Supply License Conditions (SLC) to the rest of Ofgem's Retail Market Review team and discussed the implications. Based on these findings, discussions, and other industry codes, we prepared the consultation document on non-domestic objections to supply transfer requests and guidance to SLC14.
