Much of Gemserv's client service activity is underpinned by IT systems, whether operating our own and clients' IT environments to support process execution or managing substantial volumes of client and industry data. As a result, we have strong IT leadership and a state-of-the-art, extremely robust IT infrastructure that is equipped to grow and adapt to meet the changing requirements of the business.
Our current client relationships involve a wide range of IT-based services:
- The use of systems to manage business, technical, financial and administrative processes;
- Maintenance and development of electricity industry data transfer standards;
- Energy industry data aggregation and distribution; and
- Operation of helpdesks and customer contact services.
In addition to such 'IT-enabled' business services, Gemserv also provides specific IT services and support to clients, notably designing and maintaining client websites and providing consultancy regarding the role, design and implementation of IT systems in market structures and operation. The company has recently been appointed to a panel advising the Irish regulator, CER, and the regulator for Northern Ireland on the IT aspects of the introduction of Ireland's All Island Single Electricity Market.
