Matthew is a well-connected, results-focused Head of Connected Markets, with a proven track record of securing and delivering commercial contracts and competitive tenders in the energy, smart and environment sectors. He is an excellent communicator with strategic insight and commercial vision, with the ability to lead business development teams to deliver client-centred and commercially profitable services.

Matt is the Head of Connected Markets, with 17 years experience in the Energy and Environmental sectors, having recently built a Connected Device team at Gemserv; whilst developing & securing strategic business opportunities in the smart meter, smart grid and connected device markets.

He is responsible for leading the strategic development of Gemserv’s business in the smart energy sector; including smart meters, smart grids, smart cities and connected devices. Recent successes include diversifying Gemserv’s commercial offering into the Connected Devices market and securing a multi-million pound smart metering Alternative HAN contract for the business. Matthew has a proven track record of securing high value, strategic contracts, whilst leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects on time and to budget.

Matt also sits on Tech UK Environment Strategy Council – representing Smart Energy & Utility sectors and Smarter UK Energy & Utilities Steering Board.
