Events relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) are changing on a daily basis.

Following the most recent government guidance, we are asking all but essential staff to work remotely. Consequently, for the time being, we will no longer be hosting meetings at our London or Dublin office, though we will continue to provide our services as normal.

For any forthcoming meetings, your meeting host will be in contact with you to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place to hold meetings digitally.

Clearly the specific advice we are referencing here may change so we ask all members and stakeholders to ensure they keep up to date on advice from the Government and we will also update our procedures, and notify you, as appropriate.

Most possible cases of suspected infection turn out to be negative. However, we would appreciate being notified of any suspected or any confirmed case of infection if you have been to our offices in the last 14 days. If this is the case, please contact us using the email below:

Please be assured that Gemserv is adhering to advice on contact and cleaning regimes in line with Government guidance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our members, stakeholders and staff. We have also provided sanitising gel dispensers in addition to our normal facilities and encourage all attendees at our offices to make full use of them. 

For meeting and event attendance at our offices we will be following the current Government guidelines, as outlined below:

  • If you have returned from Northern Italy, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar in the last 14 days and display any symptoms consistent with flu, fever, dry cough, sneezing or difficulty in breathing, we request that you do not attend Gemserv offices or events. Please let the meeting host know.
  • In addition if you have visited any of the Wuhan and Hubei districts of China, Daegu and Cheongdo in the Republic of Korea, Iran or any of the Italian towns under containment, regardless of any symptoms, we request that you conform to current Government advice to self-isolate and not attend Gemserv offices or events. Please let the meeting host know.
  • In both the cases, we will endeavour to arrange teleconferencing details for attendance at meetings remotely. If you need any technical support in attending meetings remotely or accessing the documents please do speak to your meeting host in the first instance.
  • If you are displaying mild symptoms (new persistent cough and fever), even if you have not travelled out of the country, we request that you do not attend Gemserv offices or events. Please let the meeting host know.
  • In some cases for very large meetings this may not be practicable, and we may need to cancel some meetings, which we will do so in discussion with our clients. Your host will advise you should this situation arise.

Public Health England recommends the following precautions are taken to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19. We respectfully request that you follow these guidelines whilst attending our offices:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water and use alcohol-based sanitisers. This is particularly important after travelling on public transport.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze.
  • Do not sneeze into your hands.
  • Dispose of tissues straightaway and wash your hands with soap and water.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
