Gemserv is pleased to announce its certification to the Investors in People Gold Standard.

Investors in People (IIP) have been setting the standard for people management since 1991 and the internationally recognised accreditation is held by 14,000 organisations.

After in-depth interviews with over a third of our people at various grades, the IIP auditor awarded Gemserv with the illustrious gold standard, an honour which only a minority of organisations can claim to have achieved.

This a huge achievement for Gemserv and this marks our commitment to cultivating talent, one of our three strategic objectives.

Some of the key achievements that the auditor highlighted included:

  • Gemserv is a thoughtful employer and its efforts to create a good working environment and work-life balance are impressive;
  • There is a crisp, clear strategy, developed with the input of staff, building belief in the vision of the organisation and commitment to its success. People take pride in what they do and how they do it;
  • There is excellent evidence of ‘home grown’ talent having progressed from entry level roles to senior management; and
  • Gemserv could be described as a restless & ambitious organisation constantly striving to improve everything it does.

David Thorne, Chief Executive, said “I am delighted that we have achieved this prestigious Gold status. It reflects our investment in our people so we can better meet and exceed our client’s needs.”

David went on to say that “We will continue to strive to improve by seeking to attract more great people to the company, increasing support and development of our people, and always pushing to improve our business practices. Only by doing that will we be able to drive Gemserv forward to deliver growth that is financially, ethically and environmentally sustainable.”
